As part of their participation in the 2022 Macy’s Day virtual event, Cool Cats was given the opportunity to compete for an in-real-life (IRL) balloon to be flown in the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
Holders of Cool Cats collectibles were able to cast votes for their favorite project among the five projects, including Cool Cats, who were selected to participate in the Macy’s virtual parade event. Proceeds from tickets purchased to view the digital gallery went to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and offered holders additional votes for their preferred collection.
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, Cool Cats community members rallied together to cast their votes for the iconic Cool Cats brand, ultimately winning the Blue Cat balloon which will be flying in this year’s 2023 Macy’s Day Parade in November.
“This is a big moment for me as an artist and as the founder of Cool Cats,” says Clon. “Personally, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has always been an important event in my family and it holds a lot of memories. Being able to showcase my artwork alongside some of the world’s most recognizable characters is a dream come true.”
